CareATC’s virtual physical therapy helped Abbi Sullivan feel stronger, safer—and back to living pain-free.
When a friend casually draped an arm over her shoulder at her 30th birthday party, Abbi Sullivan realized something was wrong.
“I could barely stand the weight of it,” she says. “That was my breaking point.”

“I fully expected to wait weeks,” Abbi says. “I was shocked when she asked if I could start that same afternoon.”
Virtual PT, Real Results
Abbi’s first visit took place on a device inside the CareATC clinic, where she met Kelly, her virtual physical therapist.
“She was so thorough. Kelly asked detailed questions and diagnosed me on the spot,” says Abbi. “It’s amazing what can be done virtually!”
Even better? Abbi completed her follow-up appointments from the comfort of her office. Each week, Kelly guided her through stretches and lifestyle changes to relieve a pinched nerve and strengthen weak muscles.
A Smarter Way to Move
It turned out that Abbi’s favorite weight-lifting class was doing more harm than good.
“Kelly joked that her next clients were coming from that same class,” Abbi says. “How we move matters. She helped me rethink how I exercise.”
With support from Kelly, Abbi swapped intense workouts for yoga, swimming, and Barre. Relief followed quickly. And the education Kelly provided gave Abbi confidence and peace of mind.
“She helped me understand what was happening neurologically and physically,” says Abbi. “The goal wasn’t just recovery—it was prevention.”
Stronger, Wiser, Pain-Free
“I was scared of re-injury, but Kelly helped me figure out what I can do and how to do it safely,” says Abbi. “Now, if my shoulder flares up, I know exactly how to handle it.”
She’s back to moving freely—without fear—and grateful for how easy it all was.
“If it hadn’t been convenient, I wouldn’t have stuck with it,” Abbi says. “But this? This was 10 out of 10.”
Her advice to others?
“Don’t wait. Life keeps moving. You don’t have to live it in pain.”
