April 6: Tax Season Stretching Until May 17

Use the extra month to get your withholdings in order and plan better for this time next year.

It’s the time of year to review your current tax situation. If you answer yes to either of the following questions, take the opportunity to adjust your withholdings now.

Do you usually owe additional taxes? You have likely underpaid on your withholding tax. Make each tax season less stressful. Avoid a large tax bill by increasing your withholdings with a W-4 form. If you need to adjust your current withholdings, visit workday.geappliances.com > Pay > Change Federal/State Tax Withholding.

This navigates you to a GE Appliances page where you can select the “EForms Center” and click on the “+” sign, initiating your personal Employee Information to appear. At the bottom, click the box entitled “Continue to Forms” and then under Federal W-4 select “Create” to complete.

Employees can call the GEA Pay & Benefits Center at 833-885-5655 with questions or for assistance.

Did you receive a large tax refund? This means you’ve overpaid on your withholding tax. That check is fun to receive, but you could have used that money for groceries, car repairs, paying off a credit card or investing. This guide can help you better understand your W-4 form and how to make it work for you.

Need help with taxes? GE Appliances employees can save up to $20 on TurboTax through LifeMart. First time users will need to use the code GEAPP to register.
