Suicide is on the rise, increasing by 60% over the last 45 years, and is the leading cause of death for 15- to 29-year-olds. For every suicide that results in death, there are as many as 40 attempted suicides.
It’s time we stop tiptoeing around this deadly topic, raise awareness and spread hope.
On September 10, the world observes Suicide Prevention Day, and at GE Appliances, we do too. Commit to learning about suicide risk factors and warning signs from the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
Use the reminder World Suicide Prevention Day provides to have conversations about a difficult topic and advocate for anyone who struggling with their mental health so they can find the help they need.
