July is National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month

GE Appliances provides mental health services to all employees

While your cultural background and identity can make access to mental health treatment more difficult, mental health conditions do not discriminate based on race, color, gender, or identity.

Anyone can experience the challenges of mental illness regardless of their background.

That’s why July is designated as Minority Mental Health Awareness Month. The challenges of mental health conditions, alongside the stigma associated with mental illness in many racial and ethnic minority communities, make getting health services even more difficult.

Everyone regardless of race, age, ethnicity, gender, disability, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, or geographical area needs access to high-quality and affordable mental healthcare services and support.

Did you know at GE Appliances all employees and their dependents have access to confidential and free EAP resources and services?

Find out all that is available to you, even if you aren’t on GEA’s health plan.

GE Appliances works with vendors who provide confidential and free mental health services to all employees and their dependents.
