She earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Marketing from the College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina, and two Master of Arts degrees in Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

She received her Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Kentucky.
