Resetting Your Diet

Drop the quarantine 15.

Non-stop grazing, binging and overeating could sum up many diets during the last two months of sheltering in place. Use these three tips to get back on track after stress eating during COVID-19.

1. Let the past go. What’s done is done. Don’t beat yourself up for what you ate during quarantine. Think of now as a fresh start. You can begin adopting healthy eating practicing from this point forward without any self-criticism or judgement.

2. Drink plenty of water. We often mistake hunger for thirst. Try drinking a cup of water the next time you feel hungry. To reduce the number of calories you eat at one meal, down a glass of water 30 minutes prior to breakfast, lunch and dinner.

3. Rid your kitchen of triggers. You can’t eat what’s not there. If chocolate chip cookie dough is your weakness, why test your willpower daily? Throw out what you have and don’t buy it on your next shopping trip.

If you need additional support to lose extra weight, schedule an appointment with a Park Well Care Center (PWCC) provider for guidance. They now offer virtual visits.
