Suicide Hotline

Louisville/Jefferson County ranks 11th out of 50 peer counties in terms of highest rates of suicide.

One suicide is too many. As a compassionate city, we must take action and attending a training on QPR is a good first step.

During National Suicide Prevention Week, September 9 – 15, Louisville will attempt to set a world record by getting as many people as possible trained in QPR – a suicide prevention technique that stands for Question, Persuade, Refer.

Like CPR, QPR is a free, 90-minute training course. It teaches the warning signs of suicide as well as how to offer hope, and connect people to help and resources.

QPR Training at GEA will be held in Monogram Hall to register please https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/MDVB8B2
