Suicide Remembrance

September 10th marks Suicide Awareness Day, a time for us to come together to raise awareness and remember those affected by suicide. In recognition of this important day, WellWithin will be setting up a Remembrance Station in each building. We invite you to participate by placing a sticker on the Remembrance Board if you have been impacted by suicide or have lost a friend or loved one.

Suicide is a significant public health issue in the United States. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC):

It’s crucial that we work together to break the stigma surrounding mental health and provide support to those in need.

Here are a few ways you can help:

  • Educate Yourself and Others: Understanding the signs of someone in distress can make a difference. Look for changes in behavior, mood, or social withdrawal.
  • Sign up for the next QPR Training Session: Question-Persuade-Refer: 3 simple things to save a loved one’s life. Register Now
  • Reach Out to a Counselor: If you or someone you know is struggling, don’t hesitate to reach out for help. Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

We hope you will join us in this observance and take a moment to reflect on how we can all contribute to a more supportive and understanding community. Together, we can make a difference.
