Madhavi Burra finds both thanks to an empty nest and discovering the Habuild Yoga app.

An empty nest led Madhavi Burra to discover new routines to challenge herself physically and mentally. Here’s her story in her own words:
I have always believed in the adage, ‘Sound mind in a sound body’ and that health is wealth. To keep myself energetic throughout the day, balancing the chores of home and office work, for the last 20+ years I picked up various routines like walking, yoga, cycling, badminton, and other physical activities.
Last year, when my second daughter left home for college, I found myself grappling with emptiness. During this time, I stumbled upon a WhatsApp message about Habuild yoga – an online yoga program. Typically, I am not a fan of online sessions, but I decided to give it a try and started with their 21-day challenge. With my daughter leaving, I made a personal commitment to get stronger both physically and mentally by continuing the Habuild yoga routine.
Their approach emphasizes the importance of building the habit of doing something regularly, even if it’s a simple exercise routine. This philosophy resonated with me deeply. Watching the sunrise while exercising has deepened my love for nature. Throughout the last 9 months, I maintained this routine, and in January, during the festival of ‘Radha Saptami,’ which is considered the birthday of the Sun, I wanted to show my gratitude through Surya namaskars. Typically, I do 12 Surya namaskars, but on that special day, I completed 108.
It’s the first step that helps build habits and brings joy and health every day. Whenever I fall off track, I remind myself of why I took that first step, which helps me get back on track quickly. This journey has taught me the importance of consistency, adaptability, and gratitude, allowing me to find balance and joy in both my physical and emotional well-being.
