Peggy Harris

Menopause hit Peggy Harris hard, causing constant fatigue and stubborn weight gain.

Feeling desperate, Peggy sought help from her primary care doctor. “My doctor suggested a common weight loss drug, but I feared my insurance wouldn’t cover it,” shares Peggy, a team lead at GE Appliances. “Thankfully, it did. GE Appliances’ insurance has been life-altering.”

Peggy started the medication and quickly noticed positive changes, with minimal side effects. Her husband also began the regimen. “This medication was the catalyst I needed,” Peggy explains. “I had tried every diet imaginable, even starving myself, but nothing worked.”

At 57, Peggy shed 75 lbs. in a year, and as the weight fell off, her pain subsided. “If I had remained overweight, my life expectancy would have been reduced,” Peggy admits. “I struggled to breathe, was always tired, and my mobility was limited due to knee pain, leading to depression. This medication has given me a fighting chance against menopause.”

Feeling healthier has allowed Peggy to dream about the future. Her greatest anticipation? “Watching my 10 grandchildren grow,” she says. “Now, I can play with them on the floor. They make life so much sweeter.”

For Peggy, it’s not about the weight loss. “It’s never too late to feel good,” she asserts. “Now, I can live pain-free, and I’m incredibly grateful for this opportunity.”
