With the COVID-19 pandemic raging across the globe, health and wellbeing were more important than ever for GE Appliances in 2020 – and WellWithin provided broader access and more tips, guidance, and resources to support its people.
That work has resulted in 13 sites earning the first-ever, internal WellWithin certification. To become certified, each WellWithin site leader was given the opportunity to create a minimum of three events or activities focused on the WellWithin dimensions that further embedded wellbeing into their cultures and improved the lives of GE Appliances employees. From virtual Zumba and community food drives, to financial literacy courses and COVID-19 and work-from-home resources, site leaders embraced the spirit of WellWithin to impact team members emotionally, physically, socially, and financially.
“It’s a testament to our WellWithin team leaders, our people and our business that so many of our sites became certified in this challenging year,” said Alina Wehby, Health Services Operations Senior Manager. “COVID-19 affected every aspect of our health and wellbeing, and these programs helped support us every step of the way.”
