Demonstrating Care for Employee Wellbeing
Each year, WellWithin sponsors Site Certification to recognize locations that are having an impact on the health and wellbeing of their employees. We also honor the WellWithin Site Leaders who work hard behind the scenes to make a difference every day.
For the time in 2023, all GE Appliances sites became certified.

- Host at least three WellWithin site-wide activities
Once a month GE Appliances Guangzhou hosted badminton games to encourage employees to socialize and exercise
The Forum hosted a Health and Wellness Fair on March 8 with everything from organic food to yoga demonostrations.
Around 50 employees at Decatur lowered stress with onsite massages during a May 24 event.
During Heart Health Month Roper and CareATC hosted an event to check employees’ blood pressure
GE Appliances Korea hosted a Cherry Blossom Picnic lunch to promote team building and a sense of belonging
Evansville bought motion desks to help employees stay active when the weather is bad and work schedules get hectic
- Submit at least one inspirational story about an employee at their site who successfully improved their wellbeing
- Chen Yong, senior supplier quality engineer, GE Appliances China, took part in every Guangzhou Marathon since 2012
- Ken Murawski, senior materials manager at GE Appliances in Camden, joined Virta, a benefit for GEA employees that helps pre-diabetics and diabetics improve their blood sugar and lose weight
- Participate in three GE Appliances global health initiatives
- Puerto Rico supported World Cancer Day on Feb. 4 by providing education materials and MCS health information
- During WellWithin Week’s celebration of Mental Health Matters Appliance Park hosted a conscious relaxation experience with sacred music
