Breathing can help you tune in and relax
If your thoughts feel like they’re stuck on spin cycle, this video is for you.

Mindful breathing has the power to calm your nervous system, improve your sleep, and help you feel more grounded in your relationships. In this Mental Health Monday video, Alex Burns, Employee Assistance Counselor at Appliance Park, explains how tuning into your thoughts, feelings, and body sensations can bring you back to the present and reduce racing or obsessive thoughts.
And no—mindfulness isn’t about clearing your mind. Your thoughts will wander, and that’s okay. The goal is to notice, not judge, and to gently bring yourself back. Like any skill, it gets easier with practice.
