Mental Health is Universal Human Right

Celebrate with “Settle into Stillness;” a sound bath and yoga experience

Good mental health is an important part of our overall wellbeing.

One in eight people around the world are living with mental health conditions. This can affect their physical health, their wellbeing, how they connect with others, and their livelihoods. In some parts of the world, people are excluded from community life, discriminated against, and unable to access the mental health care they need.

World Mental Health Day 2023 is an opportunity to remind us that mental health is a universal human right.

Everyone, whoever and wherever they are, has a right to the highest possible standard of mental health. This means being protected from mental health risks, access to mental healthcare, and inclusion in the community.

GE Appliances is committed to ensuring mental health is valued, promoted, and protected through its WellWithin program. In honor of World Mental Health Day – WellWithin has brought back Settle Into Stillness – where employees can take part in a sound bath/yoga experience in-person or online. Email, Fitness Director Erik Mann at erik.mann@geappliances.com to register.
