Employees in need can find clothes and shoes to wear to work
Life is filled with unexpected twists and turns, and sometimes we find ourselves in situations where we need financial support. Whether it’s a fire, a weather event or homelessness, any employee in crisis can shop for the clothes they need to work confidentially and for free. The Giving Closet opens in the Occ Health Clinic on August 26.
What is The Giving Closet?
A new-ish donation program to help Roper employees when life’s unpredictable challenges pop up. Asking for help is a courageous step toward bouncing back. Kelly Hughes, Occ Health Nurse, sorts and washes items donated by Roper employees, and stores them in a closet where other teammates can “shop” for what they need. Employees in need can stop by anytime the Occ Health Clinic is open to look for items they need.
Want to offer help?
The Giving Closet is looking for clothes and shoes that follow Roper’s dress code. Dig around your closet for things that you no longer wear. The most useful items are:
Sturdy work pants
Knee-length shorts
Cotton-blend tops
Work shoes with closed toes, heels, and sides
Safety-toed shoes
No clothing with political messaging
For details contact Kelly Hughes.
