Breast cancer isn’t just a single disease. It’s many diseases unique to every person?
Cancer cells are smart, and cancer can often find ways to escape the most effective treatments. That’s why it’s important to stay informed.
The keys to successful cancer treatment are knowing you have it and finding it early. Breast Cancer Awareness Month is the perfect time to learn more about how to prevent or detect this disease and spread awareness to others.
Ways to be help prevent breast cancer, improve early detection:
• Have a mammogram every year starting at age 40 for average-risk women
• Monthly breast self-exams
• Stay up to date with well-woman exams
• Try to eat a healthy diet
• Exercise regularly
