Each year, nearly 25,000 Americans visit the emergency room due to a workplace eye injury. During Workplace Eye Wellness Month this March, the American Academy of Ophthalmology reminds employers and workers about the importance of wearing certified and approved eye protection.

- If you are a brazer, you will need both a clear pair of glasses to walk around plant and a pair of glasses with filtered lens of 3.
- Glasses for use in the plant can have no more than a filter tint of 1. We must be able-to see your eyes through the lenses.
- Until you get your prescription glasses, you MUST wear the visitor safety goggles over your non-safety prescription glasses.
- Safety Glasses are stamped Z87.I, so if they do not have that stamp or marking on the prescription tens, then they are NOT safety glasses and not allowed for work.
